Michele de la Menardiere is a professional fine artist and award-winning graphic designer currently based in San Francisco, California. She has exhibited her work in nationally renowned galleries across the country and participated in two major public art projects (photos below). In 2009, 19 of her paintings were selected to be a permanent art installation on the exterior wall of the Hyatt Regency in Crystal City, VA. In 2008, her work was chosen to be part of Emerge, a public mural project in Washington, DC sponsored by the DC Commission for the Arts and Humanities. Michele’s work was also selected to be part of U.S. State Department’s prestigious Art in Embassies Program. Her paintings have been purchased by the DC Commission for the Arts and Humanities’ Art Bank and Westin Hotels in Reston, VA. Michele has also done a variety of commissions for public and private clients.

Michele studied at Parson’s School of Art in Paris, France and Chelsea College of Art and Design in London, England. She holds a degree in Public Art and Design from Chelsea College of Art.

Michele is also a highly accomplished graphic designer. She holds eleven awards for her design work including multiple prizes from the Art Director’s Club of Washington, DC and the Washington Book Publishers who invited her to be on their jury for the 2008 Book Design awards.
